My grades were decent in high school, my sat scores were good, other than I would suggest attending a community college prior to attending this university if you're looking to save some bucks. This school works closely with the community colleges nearby and if you plan it correctly, most if not all your classes that you pay half the amount for will transfer with no problem.

I transferred from Drexel U...also in Philadelphia. I had no problem getting right into the classes I wanted. I recommend making yourself stand out by taking internships as early as possible or participating in organizations such a sports or scouts in HS. Most univerisities want a renaissance person...and Temple is no exception.

Because Temple is a state school, I would not consider it difficult to get into (although it may be slightly more difficult now than when I applied because there are more applicants). A combination of good grades in high school, a good SAT score, extracurricular activities and community service helped me get into Temple.

I was a terrible slacker in high school, but I got good grades, had teachers who liked me, and was a good writer. Getting in was not too hard at that point, but admissions have been getting more difficult. Just write a good essay.
